Designer Trina Turk Shares Her Favorite Parts of Italy, Plus Her Packing List
The designer shares her can't-miss spots from her Italian vacation.
— -- Designer Trina Turk, with her bold colors and happy prints, is a favorite of jet-setting fashionistas.
And it turns out, Turk's got the travel bug too. Fresh off her Italian vacation, Turk shares exclusively with ABC News the highlights of of her trip.
"Italy is one of my favorite places to travel," Turk said. "The three cities we stayed in are Capri, Naples and Taormina [Sicily]." She couldn't choose a favorite though. "Each one is so unique."
So where does a world-famous fashion designer stay? "In Capri we stayed at La Scalinatella, Naples at Hotel Royal Continental, and in Taormina, the Atahotel Capotaormina." She said she loved Capri's beaches and scenery. "Capri is the perfect combination of no cars, drop-dead gorgeous vistas, great people watching, excellent shopping and delicious Italian food." As for favorite food spots she recommended Da Luigi or La Fontelina. "I ordered rocket salad with parmesan and grilled branzino every day."
And while Turk said she likes to pack light — "I like to stay away from checking bags whenever possible," she said — she did share her list of travel essentials.
