7. Travel is romantic. A woman on an American Airlines flight said she discovered the man of her dreams. The only problem was, she failed to discover his last name. She asked the airline for help and while they wouldn't reveal Mr. Right's name, they did send out tweets inviting him to step forward and it worked. Dating ensued, but whether this relationship develops into true romance is still up in the air.
8. Summer fares are no turkeys. Last week's column was filled with tips to help save money on summer flights, including flying in early June or late August and flying Tuesdays, Wednesday or Saturdays, which are historically cheaper days to fly.
As for the turkeys, that's just a reminder that as expensive as summer fares may seem, they're bargains compared to what you'll pay at Thanksgiving!
9. “How I Met Your Mother” is over. The popular TV show has concluded so get off the couch and go somewhere.
