— -- What could make a visit to Fallingwater, Frank Lloyd Wright's majestic masterwork in western Pennsylvania, even better? How about taking in the famed house as the original owners did, toasting the sunset as the waterfalls cascade beneath the deck?

Fallingwater holds its annual Twilight Tour on Aug. 23, offering visitors the chance to view the historic house, grounds and artwork at their own pace, culminating in a catered picnic with a live jazz trio in the meadow below. Docents will be on hand to field questions about the home, designed by Wright in 1935 for Pittsburgh businessman Edgar J. Kaufman. Shutterbugs, take note: Regular house tours restrict personal photography, so the Twilight Tour is your best chance to get your own shots.

Fallingwater is about 65 miles southeast of Pittsburgh. Twilight Tour tickets are $200 per person (part of which goes to conservation and is tax-deductible). Past years have sold out, so organizers advise booking soon; call 724-329-8501.
