No Closure for Family of Anjelica 'AJ' Hadsell After Remains Identified

— -- The family of a Virginia college student is still looking for answers after her remains were found this week more than a month after she disappeared.
Police in Norfolk, Virginia, said Friday that remains found earlier in the week had been identified as Anjelica "AJ" Hadsell. She disappeared from the coastal community on March 2 while home from spring break.
"In time we'll heal, but it's a long road ahead of us," her uncle, Drew Hadsell, told ABC affiliate WVEC-TV. "There's no closure. There's no closing that door."
The remains were found in Southampton County, Virginia, on Thursday, police said, and were sent to the Chief Medical Examiner's Office to be identified and to determine the cause of death.
No arrests related to the case have been made. The investigation into her death is ongoing, police said Friday.
The family's pastor, Timothy Moran, told WVEC-TV that they had "mixed emotions."
"There's anger," he said. "There's a lot of questions."
Several weeks ago, friends and family organized a softball game for this Sunday to raise awareness about Hadsell's disappearance, according to the event's Facebook page. The game will still take place, now in honor of the teen.
"None of it feels real," Hadsell's friend, Bryce Atkins, told WVEC-TV. "It just feels like a terrible nightmare."
