2 Dead After Man Shoots From Car Window on Oklahoma Interstate

A woman died in her car, and a man died while driving with his wife in Oklahoma.

— -- Two people have died after a man fired a gun out of his car as it drove down the Interstate 40 westbound, near Oklahoma City, according to police.

The Custer County Police Department released a statement saying calls about a shooter came in late Wednesday night, approx 11:53 p.m. local time.

A woman died and was found in the town of Weatherford, with her car pulled off the side of the road on I-40.

A man, who was driving with his wife in Caddo County, also died about 65 miles west of Oklahoma City, the statement said.

Police chased the suspect for 50 miles on I-40 before he pulled over on the side of the road and surrendered to police.

The suspect was taken into custody around 12:39 a.m. Thursday local time.
