— -- One Adidas jacket is becoming the "new dress," at least in terms of creating an Internet fiasco.

Exactly one year after a heavy debate unfolded on social media over the color of "the dress," people are bickering over the color of a rayon Adidas zip-up jacket.

Some believe it's black and brown, while others suggested green and gold or green and brown.

High school sophomore and Santa Clarita, California, resident Mariam Kabba said she began a group chat Thursday about the dress after one of her friends was adamant that her blue-and-white jacket was brown and black.

Shortly after, that friend, 16-year-old Nina Penzo, posted a picture of the jacket to Tumblr. Within minutes the post had garnered thousands of responses.

"I had no intention of it blowing up," Penzo told ABC News today. "I didn’t think it would get as big as it did."

On Feb. 27, 2015, an overexposed image of a $77 dress because an Internet sensation when it spawned millions of arguments on whether the dress was blue and black or white and gold.

The official color of the Adidas jacket is baby blue and white, Kabba said, who added that she was "freaking out" because some of her favorite celebrities, including YouTube singer Ricky Dillon and singer Peter Bea Miller, noticed her jacket.

Taira Ochoa, 20, was the first to comment on Penzo's Tumblr post and told ABC News she thought it was "crazy" that her group of friends started a social media firestorm over a simple article of clothing.

"We all wake up and it’s all over the news, Ochoa said. "It’s insane."

Thousands took to Twitter to share what color they think the jacket really is.

Or, for peace of mind, you can always avoid the argument all together.
