Father and Son Catch Fish off Front Porch in Flooded NC
The Jinnette family makes the most of Hurricane Matthew's devastation.
— -- A father and son in North Carolina took advantage of the flood waters surrounding their home in Hurricane Matthew’s wake by going fishing.
Russell Jinnette shared a video on YouTube of the father-son pair throwing fishing lines off the front porch of their Windsor, North Carolina, home. They actually caught a blue catfish from their front yard.
“Great moment for us,” Jinnette wrote on YouTube, adding that he and his son “decided to make the best of a bad situation.”
North Carolina is still reeling from the impact of Hurricane Matthew, which swept the state’s coast earlier this week. The storm has been blamed for the deaths of at least 14 people in the Tar Heel State, and three others are missing.
