— -- One cow can credit his lucky streak to genetics after being born with the number seven on his face.

The male calf was born on the family-owned Vale Wood Farms outside of Pittsburgh this past Saturday.

"People honestly always say they see things in cow spots. It's one of those things people around here do for fun," the farm's business director Carissa Itle Westrick told ABC News about her initial skepticism when her relatives started saying the new calf had a marking.

In this case, the calf's luck is clear. When it came to naming the calf, they used the '7' to pay homage to quarterback Ben Roethlisberger and named the newborn Baby Ben.

"We do live in Steelers country out here," Itle Westrick said.

This isn't the first time that Vale Wood Farms have had athletically-minded livestock. Itle Westrick said the last time they had such a clear, quirky marking on a cow was when a female cow had the trademark Nike 'swoosh' on her shoulder.
