Maryland Graffiti Spree: More Than 260 Cars Spray-Painted Since December
Police are offering a reward up to $1,500 for information.
— -- Cops in Maryland are jacked up over a spray-paint vandal who has tagged more than 260 cars since December,.
The most recent hit — at a senior living center — involved 28 cars being tagged with the words "Jack Boys" on Monday night, according to Howard County police.
The vandal was caught on surveillance camera — tagging the walls of a business near the senior living center — wearing dark clothing, dark gloves and a black-and-white pom knit hat, according to police.
Police still don’t know the suspect’s gender or race based on the footage, but are hopeful someone will recognize the suspect’s clothing from the video.
“Only one person is seen in the video, but it is unknown if anyone else was involved in previous cases,” a police spokesperson told ABC News today.
Police said the vandal used white spray paint and tagged the cars at the senior living complex with "Jack Boys" and other markings around 2 a.m.
“Just about half the community, all the cars were hit with paint,” Vanessa Addison told ABC affiliate WMAR-TV.
“And then when I got to my car I said, 'Oh no, they got me too,'" she added.
Police are looking into connections between all the cases over the past several months, where the suspect has tagged cars and businesses in Laurel and Columbia. However, police said they don’t see the cases as being gang-related.
They’re offering a reward up to $1,500 for information on the case that leads to an arrest.
