Armed Man Shot, Killed by Police at Pennsylvania Wal-Mart
Police say the suspect was threatening customers with a weapon.
— -- A man was shot and killed by troopers in Pennsylvania after he entered a Wal-Mart and threatened customers with a weapon.
The Pennsylvania State Police said its troopers were dispatched to the store in East Stroudsburg late Saturday evening following a report of an armed man inside. According to authorities, the man refused to obey the troopers’ commands and continued to point his weapon at them when they arrived.
Police said he was carrying two handguns and a machete, according to the Pocono Record.
The troopers then shot the man, police said. He was taken to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead by the Monroe County coroner.
No employees or police officers were hurt in the incident.
