Dec. 5, 2013— -- intro: If mustached newsman Ron Burgundy hasn't yet shown up on your local newscast this year, it might just be the next stop on his promotional tour.

The beloved main character from Will Ferrell's "Anchorman" movie franchise was even set to make a guest appearance on ESPN's SportsCenter tonight -- Burgundy did a taped interview with Peyton Manning -- until ESPN postponed the appearance to cover breaking news.

But need not despair: Burgundy is pretty much everywhere.

Take a look where he's popped up in recent weeks as part of the marketing for "Anchorman 2," which will be in theaters Dec. 18.

Seated next to the nightly news' actual anchor, Amber Schatz, Burgundy dutifully and awkwardly reported the news from Minot, N.D.media:21114176

quicklist:2title: Journalism Schoolstext: Emerson College in Boston drew Ferrell to campus on Wednesday when it renamed its journalism school the Ron Burgundy School of Communication for one day. Ferrell, never breaking out of the role of Burgundy, gave advice to students.

"You have to report the facts, unless it's too hard to find the facts," he said, according to The Hollywood Reporter. "Keep a $20 bill in your shoe. Maybe wear a shorter skirt."media: 21114394

quicklist:3title: Alcohol and Ice Creamtext: Ron Burgundy loves Scotch. In fact, Ron Burgundy loves "Scotchy Scotch Scotch."

Therefore, Ben & Jerry's and Riviera liquors have both branded their own foodstuffs (ice cream and, um, scotch) in honor of the anchorman.

Ben & Jerry's launched "Scotchy Scotch Scotch" butterscotch ice cream in October.

"Great Odin's Raven Special Reserve" scotch went on sale this month, named for an expression Burgundy shouted during "Anchorman 1." As for the scotch content, Riviera has Ben & Jerry's beat, which would probably make Burgundy quite happy.media:

quicklist:5title: Everywhere Elsetext:Ron Burgundy's even at your local diner. WTNH News in Connecticut tweeted this photo of Ferrell outside the Milford Diner in Milford, shortly before noon today. How can Ron Burgundy be everywhere at once? Because he's Ron Burgundy. media:
