The first lady of fashion spent Monday with, well, the real first lady.

Anna Wintour, editor of Vogue, posed with Michelle Obama at the opening ceremony for Wintour's Costume Center at the Metropolitan Museum of Art. The ceremony happened just hours before the star-studded Met Ball and Obama did not disappoint, donning a floral Naeem Khan dress.

A shooting occurred Monday at a Veterans Affairs hospital in Dayton, Ohio.

One man was shot in the ankle while struggling over a gun with another man in an employee break room at the hospital, according to The Associated Press.

Boko Haram Claims Kidnapping Responsibility

The Nigerian terrorist group Boko Haram claimed responsibility Monday for kidnapping as many as 300 high school girls last month.

The group's name can be loosely translated to mean “Western education is forbidden." They have threatened to sell the girls into marriages or as sex slaves. Read more of ABC News' coverage of the kidnapping here.
