Investigators have decided that a plane accident in Jamaica nearly five years ago was caused by a botched landing and happened when the plane overshot the runway.

The report was released this week about a Dec. 22, 2009, crash in which an American Airlines plane missed the runway and crashed through a perimeter fence at the airport. There were serious injuries but no deaths, according to the Associated Press, which reported on the incident.
