Storm Kills Married Arkansas Couple, But Infant Survives
Severe storm activity was reported across the region.
— -- A married couple in Arkansas was killed Sunday after severe weather tore through the mobile home park where they lived, but an infant inside the home survived, authorities said.
Howard County Coroner John Gray said the male and female, who were in their late 20s or early 30s, died before midnight in Nashville, Arkansas.
Their deaths were the result of blunt force trauma, Gray said. The victims’ identities have not been released.
An infant was inside the mobile home at the time of the incident and survived, Gray said, though it’s unknown whether the infant suffered any injuries.
Severe storm activity was reported across the region Sunday, with damage and injuries in Van and Denton, Texas. It’s unclear if those storms produced any tornadoes.
Howard County remained under a flood warning Monday, after the area received up to four inches of rain in the last few days.
