July 16, 2004

Lance Cpl. Bryan P. Kelly, 21, of Klamath, Ore., died due to injuries received from enemy action in Al Anbar Province, Iraq.

July 15, 2004

Staff Sgt. Paul C. Mardis, Jr., 25, of Palmetto, Fla., died in Washington, D.C., from injuries sustained on May 20 in Mosul, Iraq, when his vehicle was struck by an improvised explosive device.

July 14, 2004

Cpl. Demetrius L. Rice, 24, of Ortonville, Minn., died in Talafar, Iraq, when his vehicle rolled over as the driver tried to avoid another vehicle.

Pfc. Jesse J. Martinez, 20, of Tracy, Calif., died in Talafar, Iraq, when his vehicle rolled over as the driver tried to avoid another vehicle.

July 13, 2004

Pfc. Torry D. Harris, 21, of Chicago, died in Tikrit, Iraq, of non-combat related injuries.

July 11, 2004

Sgt. James G. West, 34, of Watertown, N.Y., died near Al Hillah, Iraq, when riding in a vehicle that was involved in a head-on collision with another vehicle.

Spc. Dana N. Wilson, 26, of Fountain, Colo., died near Al Hillah, Iraq, when riding in a vehicle that was involved in a head-on collision with another vehicle.

Staff Sgt. Dustin W. Peters, 25, of El Dorado, Kan., died as a result of enemy action near the Forward Operating Base Summerall in Iraq.

Sgt. 1st Class Linda Ann Tarango-Griess, 33, of Sutton, Neb., died in Samarra, Iraq, when an improvised explosive device detonated near her convoy vehicle.

Sgt. Jeremy J. Fischer, 26, of Lincoln, Neb., died in Samarra, Iraq, when an improvised explosive device detonated near his convoy vehicle.

July 10, 2004

Cpl. Terry Holmes, 22, of Hollywood, Fla., died due to a non-combat related vehicle accident in Al Anbar Province, Iraq.

Sgt. Krisna Nachampassak, 27, of Burke, Va., died due to a non-combat related vehicle accident in Al Anbar Province, Iraq.

Pfc. Christopher J. Reed, 20, of Craigmont, Idaho, died due to a non-combat related vehicle accident in Al Anbar Province, Iraq.

Staff Sgt. Trevor Spink, 36, of Farmington, Mo., died due to a non-combat related vehicle accident in Al Anbar Province, Iraq.

Sgt. Robert E. Colvill Jr., 31, of Anderson, Ind., died in Baghdad, Iraq while in the Iraqi National Guard Headquarters when it came under a mortar attack.

Spc. William R. Emanuel IV, 19, of Stockton, Calif., died in Baghdad, Iraq, while in the Iraqi National Guard Headquarters when it came under a mortar attack.

Spc. Joseph M. Garmback Jr., 24, of Cleveland, died in Baghdad, Iraq, while in the Iraqi National Guard Headquarters when it came under a mortar attack.

Spc. Sonny G. Sampler, 23, of Oklahoma City, Okla., died in Baghdad, Iraq while in the Iraqi National Guard Headquarters when it came under a mortar attack.

Pfc. Collier E. Barcus, 21, of McHenry, Ill., died in Baghdad, Iraq, while in the Iraqi National Guard Headquarters when it came under a mortar attack.

Spc. Shawn M. Davies, 22, of Aliquippa, Pa., died in Baghdad, Iraq, of a non-combat related illness.

Spc. Jeremiah W. Schmunk, 21, of Richland, Wash., died in Baghdad, Iraq, when his vehicle came under attack by rocket propelled grenade and small arms fire.

July 7, 2004

Sgt. Michael C. Barkey, 22, of Canal Fulton, Ohio, died in Ar Ramadi, Iraq, when a tire on his military vehicle blew out, the driver lost control and the vehicle turned over.

Pfc. Samuel R. Bowen, 38, of Cleveland, died in Samarra, Iraq, when a rocket-propelled grenade exploded near his vehicle.
