1. Dramatic Video Shows Deadly Explosion That Rocked Tianjin, China

Dramatic new YouTube video shows the series of explosions that rocked Tianjin, China and killed dozens.

The video, posted by Daniel Van Duren, was taped from less than 1km away from the twin blasts that rocked the port town at 11:30 p.m. Wednesday, according to a description on the page.

According to Van Duren's YouTube page, he was on top of his 33-story apartment building when the blasts began.

2. Al Gore's Friends and Former Aides Eyeing 2016 Race

A one-time high-ranking political adviser to Al Gore tells ABC News that a group of friends and former aides are having a “soft conversation” about the possibility that Gore run for president in 2016.

The adviser cautions that there have been no formal or even informal moves by Gore himself -– but that the former vice president has not ruled out anything. This was first reported by BuzzFeed.

3. Ex-President Warren Harding's Love Child Confirmed Through DNA Testing

After nearly 100 years of rumors and historical speculation, DNA testing has confirmed that President Warren Harding had a child out of wedlock – his only biological child – with mistress Nan Britton.

Britton first came forward publically with the claim that her daughter, Elizabeth Ann, was Harding’s daughter in a 1927 autobiography “The President’s Daughter.” In her account, Britton detailed a steamy six-year-long affair with the 29th president, including one encounter in a White House closet, before his untimely death in 1923.

4. Man Killed by Raptor Roller Coaster at Cedar Point Park, Officials Say

A man was killed by a roller coaster at Cedar Point Park in Sandusky, Ohio Thursday afternoon when he went into a restricted area to retrieve his belongings, police and park officials said.

The man, whom police identified as James A. Young, 45, of East Canton, Ohio, entered a restricted area of the Raptor roller coaster and was struck by the ride around 5 p.m., the park said in a statement.

"Our thoughts and prayers are with the family," the statement said.

5. At a Time of Ferguson, Freddie Gray, 'Straight Outta Compton' Still Resonates Almost 30 Years Later

Compton, California was where a group of young, gifted, black artists sparked a movement with a new sound no one had heard before in the late '80s.

Ice Cube, Dr. Dre, Eazy-E, DJ Yella and MC Ren were the original members of N.W.A. Undeniably angry in their raw lyrics, they had a swagger that shocked the nation.

“The name is 'N****** With Attitudes'...you can't listen to N.W.A. asleep, you got to be wide awake,” Ice Cube, whose real name is O’Shea Jackson, told “Nightline” in a recent interview.
