Transcript for A Freak Snowstorm Dumped Nearly a Foot of Snow in Colorado
-- -- it's Clayton send -- coming -- you all the way from my backyard near Denver Colorado because I wanted to show you just how much snow. We have gotten in the last 24 hours look at that about 89 inches. And today is may twelfth then that's kind of a big deal because as you can see a lot of these trees. Have already gotten their spring leaves on them so what happens is when the snow does -- Seems. Really ways these branches down. Not so much a problem here but. If they come down on a power line than they can -- that power line down and it can knock out power to thousands of people not luckily. We haven't seen too much of that but. As you can see. Snow is still coming down so this isn't over yet. Now it may seem like kinda weird to have snow falling in May but really for the Denver area it's not that unusual intact over the last ten years. In six of those ten years the last snowfall has come down in May. And the latest recorded snowfall ever for the Denver area is actually June 12 so. We may get more of this. But for now. The dogs are gonna enjoy the snow. Enjoy the view how do you have a good day doctors him.
