Two I think that this one. Stupid mistakes had passed me the last ten years. All the good I've done absolutely Melissa -- -- 33 year old seventh and eight grade math teacher at -- community learning center is learning a tough lesson herself. Made a bad mistake of thinking it was funny and posting it. On FaceBook last October Melissa says she gave duct -- to a student to fix -- binder but instead the girl cut the tape. Put down her mouth and laughed about it. The other kids in class thought it was funny also. And they proceeded to pass the tape and the scissors around the class. And the students. You know the majority of the class ended up putting a piece of duct tape across her -- Melissa says the kids encouraged her to take a picture she did and posted it on her FaceBook page with the caption. Finally found a way to get them to be quiet it did concern me at school board president Jason costs as another employee alerted a supervisor to the picture. The school's principal confronted Melissa and she removed it from FaceBook still the school board has since voted to pursue termination. Right now she's on leave without pay. Students are protected under federal -- and have certain protections and again not knowing all circumstances but it would -- look like that potentially violates those protections. Melissa believes the board is going overboard she regrets her mistake -- believes the duct tape incident was a breakthrough classroom moment when your emotions are involved that's when you learn things. You know and when you're able to have -- connect with the teacher and trusted teacher that's when you hear your -- really open until learn.
