From ABC this is world news tonight with Peter Jennings. Good evening it has been quite an astonishing day in Los Angeles soon after his lawyer told him that he was going to be charged with the murder of his former wife in the male friend. OJ Simpson fled from the house where he had been in seclusion. The Los Angeles police department was astonished and angry his lawyer was stunned. Before the police came for him according to his lawyer the football legend wrote three letters. One to his mother one to his children and a third to the public which was as you heard -- read aloud. Here are excerpts from that 11 he writes that he had nothing to do with the murder of his former wife. Everyone understand. I have nothing to do with Nicole's murder. I loved her.
