Woman's Remains Stolen From Texas Funeral Home

— -- Police in San Antonio, Texas, are looking for the remains of a woman that are believed to have been stolen from a funeral home.
Julie Mott, 25, died earlier this month following complications with cystic fibrosis, ABC affiliate KSAT-TV reports. Her funeral service was held last Saturday at the Mission Park North Funeral Chapel.
According to investigators, Mott’s remains may have been taken between the end of the service and when the funeral home closed for the day. The body was missing the following day.
“We just want our daughter's remains returned, so we can have some closure to our grief,” Tim Mott, her father, told KSAT-TV Friday.
Sgt. Javier Salazar of the San Antonio Police Department said there was no forced entry into the funeral home. It is uncertain how Mott’s remains were taken as there are no video cameras at the funeral home.
The owner of Mission Park North, Dick Tips, suggested the theft might have been carried out by someone who didn’t believe in cremation as Mott was slated to be cremated last Monday.
The funeral home is offering a $20,000 reward for information leading to the recovery of Mott’s remains.
