Bob Woodward's New Book, 'Obama's Wars,' to be Released Sept. 27
Woodward's first book on Obama administration set for release Sept. 27.
Sept. 7, 2010— -- Journalist and author Bob Woodward will speak to ABC News' Diane Sawyer in an exclusive interview about his much-anticipated first book on the administration of President Obama. The book, "Obama's Wars," is set for release Sept. 27.
After working behind the scenes for 18 months, Woodward will provide an insider's account of Obama at work with his team. Drawing on internal memos, classified documents, meeting notes and hundreds of hours of interviews, Woodward focuses on Obama's critical decisions about the wars abroad and the worldwide fight against terrorism.
Sawyer's interview will begin airing on "World News" on Monday, September 27. Portions of the interview will also air on "Nightline" and "Good Morning America." On Tuesday, September, 28, Woodward will sit down for a live television interview on "Good Morning America." In addition, on Sunday, October 3, he will appear on "This Week with Christiane Amanpour."
Woodward has authored or co-authored 11 best-selling, non-fiction books, beginning with "All the President's Men" in 1974 on the Watergate scandal. His last book, "The War Within," chronicled the Bush Administration's internal dialogue and divisions over its strategy in Iraq from 2006 through 2008. The book was released in September 2008.
