April 29 -- Good afternoon.

President Bush and Vice President Dick Cheney had their turn before the commission investigating the 9/11 attacks today, answering questions for more than three hours in the Oval Office. In his opening statement, the president took the unusual step of expressing his disappointment in the Department of Justice for its release of documents relating to the role of 9/11 commission member Jamie Gorelick in the Clinton administration. The meeting this morning was held without cameras and no official transcripts were made, but Bush and some of the 9/11 commission members are talking about it. Terry Moran is at the White House and will have more on what was said in this historic Oval Office meeting.http://abcnews.go.com/wire/Politics/ap20040429_1239.html

Lightning fast and an undefeated competitor, Smarty Jones is not your typical racehorse. Having sustained a near-fatal head injury last summer, few believed he would be able to race again. But he is back, stronger than ever, having won the Arkansas Derby last month and all six of the races he has competed in. Dean Reynolds reports tonight on the amazing journey of a little-known racehorse from Pennsylvania that is now a favorite to win Saturday's Kentucky Derby.http://abcnews.com/wire/Sports/ap20040429_310.html
