Aug. 9 -- Are low-cut jeans and tight miniskirts appropriate for 11-year-olds? Should preteens be showing off their bellybuttons?

This fall, retailers are marketing hot grown-up fashions such as tight tops with provocative logos, midriff-baring pants and tight miniskirts to preteens in the 8- to 12-year-old age group.

World News Tonight wants to talk to parents concerned about the clothes their preteen daughters wear, or want to wear.

Has back-to-school shopping been tough this year? Is your daughter asking you to buy provocative clothes? Do her friends' parents let them wear what they want?

Some schools even elementary schools have banned clothing that exposes the midriff, or shorts that are too short. Does your daughter's school enforce a dress code?

If you are interested in speaking with ABCNEWS, please tell us about your experiences. Please provide your name, your location, your daughter's age and a daytime phone number where we can reach you.
