Overseas and to Nigeria where a military operation is under way, trying to rescue those missing school girls as leaders from around the world now hold emergency meetings. Hamish Macdonald from Nigeria tonight. Reporter: Nigeria's president in Paris hoping for a coordinated international response to the islamist group which abducted some 200 school girls. I think now it's become our girls, not jut Nigeria's girls. It's the worlds' girls and there is a very deep commitment to brining them home. Reporter: Operations to find the girls are ongoing. The 7th division of Nigeria's army is narrowing its search in the sambisa forest where they believe smaller groups of girls are held, some possibly in caves. In the air, U.S. Surveillance aircraft are supporting this search. For these families desperately awaiting news, conferences in Paris don't mean much. The president claims 20,000 Nigerian troops are now deployed in the northeast but they've seen little evidence of that. The U.S. Uk and France, plus Nigeria's neighbors say they're willing to help. This meeting is about how they do that. The west wants a framework for sharing intelligence, that's so far been limited. Because of concerns, boko harm sympathizers have penetrated Nigeria's military and intelligence ranks and may pass on any crucial information. It's clear the U.S. And western allies don't fully trust the Nigerians to do this properly. There's suspicion from the Nigerians about what the U.S. Is doing here.
