And while nearly 90% of breast and prostate cancer victims survive. Lung cancer victims have only a 17%. Survival rate. Still lung cancer research is woefully underfunded the US now spending three times the research dollars on breast cancer and it does on cancer of the long. Wait a minute. This is the biggest killer and it has the least funding. Harper says it's the social stigma of smoking that hinders progress in defeating lung cancer.
