Just days after former President Donald Trump was projected to have won the presidency, Trump's transition team operation has begun, with transition co-chairs confirming that he will be selecting personnel to serve under his leadership in the coming days.

Trump is also the projected winner in Arizona, a state the former president flipped after losing it to Joe Biden in 2020.

Trump's projected win in the vital swing state marks a sweep of the battleground states.

Sarah McBride will become the first openly transgender person elected to Congress

ABC News has projected that Delaware state Sen. Sarah McBride has won election to her state's at-large congressional district, making her the first openly transgender person to be elected to Congress. It's been a history-making night for the First State: Earlier in the evening, Rep. Lisa Blunt Rochester won her election to become the first woman and first Black person to be elected to the U.S. Senate from Delaware.

I don't like Osborn's chances, Monica

It's true that Osborn is leading in Nebraska, Monica, but I don't like his chances. That's because most of the votes that are reporting are from relatively liberal Omaha and Lincoln. I expect Fischer to gain once rural Nebraska reports.

One particularly bad omen for Osborn: He's running basically even with Harris in the state, and Harris is not going to win Nebraska.
