With projections made in most states across the country, ABC has projected that former President Donald Trump will win the high-stakes presidential match-up against Vice President Kamala Harris. Early Wednesday morning, Trump secured enough Electoral College votes to set himself up for a second presidency by flipping the key swing states of Georgia, Wisconsin and Pennsylvania. Plus, Republicans are set to take back the Senate majority, with at least 51 seats locked down — while control of the House remained up in the air.

Reporters from 538 and ABC News are following along every step of the way with live updates, analysis and commentary on these races and all the others down the ballot. Follow our live coverage in full below.

Trump is projected to win the presidential race despite being vastly out-raised by Vice President Kamala Harris' campaign over the last few months and constantly trailing in campaign cash on hand.

As of Oct. 16, the Harris campaign, the DNC and their joint fundraising committees reported having nearly $270 million in cash on hand compared to $202 million for the Trump campaign, the RNC and their joint fundraising committees, most recent filings show.

Memo to Harris campaign staff: 'losing is unfathomably painful'

In an email sent to the Harris campaign staff obtained by ABC News, Harris campaign chair Jen O’Malley Dillon says: "I’ll leave you with this: losing is unfathomably painful. It is hard. This will take a long time to process. But the work of protecting America from the impacts of a Trump Presidency starts now."

Dillon adds that Harris told Trump that she would work with Biden to ensure a peaceful transfer of power, unlike what happened in 2020. Harris will also hold an all-staff call after her speech to talk about the road ahead.
