— -- McKell Harding says friends, family and strangers alike always stop to tell her and her husband, Dan, how much their 10-month-old son, Charlie, looks like “Modern Family” star Eric Stonestreet.

So when it came time to pick out a costume for Charlie’s first Halloween, his parents picked Stonestreet’s character, Cam, and turned it into a family costume.

Charlie dressed as Cam in a replica of the character's signature floral, button-down shirts with the cuffs folded back. McKell Harding dressed as Cam’s young daughter, Lily, complete with a tiara and mismatched clothes, while Dan Harding completed the family affair as Mitch, Cam’s husband on “Modern Family,” played by Jesse Tyler Ferguson.

“Everyone stops us where we go because of his hair and half of the people who stop us say, ‘He looks just like Eric Stonestreet,’” McKell Harding said of her son. “My family has a big Halloween party so I said, ‘We have to find a shirt and dress him as Cam.’”

McKell Harding of American Fork, Utah, said the hardest part of the costume was finding the floral, button-down shirt in Charlie’s size. She eventually ordered the shirt on Amazon from a company in Italy and said it arrived just days before Halloween.

Harding was so convinced of her son’s likeness to Stonestreet that she created a Twitter account this weekend just so she could tweet the family’s Halloween photos to the "Modern Family" star.

Stonestreet retweeted Harding’s tweet to his more than 800,000 followers on Sunday with the caption, “Okay. This is GREAT.” He also sent a direct message to Harding asking for Charlie’s name and telling her the photos were “hilarious.”

“He asked what our address was so he could send us something,” Harding said. “I don’t know what he’ll send but I said he didn’t need to send anything.

“We were just trying to make people laugh,” added Harding, a “Modern Family” fan. “We just think that Cam is hilarious on the show.”
