— -- Imagine getting to perform one of music's most iconic songs with some of the world's biggest stars, all for a good cause.

That's the idea behind a new star-studded video version of John Lennon's classic anthem "Imagine" released Thursday as part of renowned children’s rights organization UNICEF’s "Hashtag Imagine Campaign."

The video includes singing superstars such as Hugh Jackman, Katy Perry, Lance Bass, Nicole Scherzinger, will.i.am, David Guetta and more, as well as celebrities such as Idris Elba, Courteney Cox, Dianna Agron and more crooning along to Lennon’s classic song.

"We are honored to highlight the challenges that face children," Jackman said at a UNICEF event.

But the really cool part? You can insert yourself in the video, using the app "Touchcast," and the final version will air on New Year's Eve.

This isn't the first high-tech music makeover. Taylor Swift's groundbreaking video for "Blank Spaces" debuted on “Good Morning America” just last week and allows viewers to immerse themselves in a 3D version of the video using an app on their smart phone.

Lennon's fellow Beatle Paul McCartney is getting in on the action as the first artist to be featured on a brand new virtual reality app by Jaunt. Launched Thursday, the app puts users right in the middle of Sir Paul's sold out concert, providing an immersive 360-degree virtual view.
