— -- After many failed attempts to dispose of Bart, Sideshow Bob will finally get his revenge on his rival next season on "The Simpsons."

"Simpsons" producers revealed during an ATX Festival panel in Austin, Texas, this weekend that Sideshow Bob -- Krusty the Clown's evil former sidekick voiced by Kelsey Grammer -- will kill Bart during the show's Halloween episode this fall.

Executive producer Al Jean told Entertainment Weekly that in the past he'd wanted to see Wile E. Coyote catch the Road Runner in Looney Tunes cartoons, adding, “I hated frustration comedy so we’ll scratch that itch.”

Don't worry too much about Bart, though, because he'll be revived after the Halloween episode.

Each season, "The Simpsons" airs a Halloween episode that strays from the show's usual format and story lines.

Sideshow Bob has been a recurring character on "The Simpsons" since 1990.
