— -- This weekend's massive nor'easter dropped more than two feet of snow on the East Coast. And if celebrities didn't fly out Friday to escape the white stuff, they were stuck inside the house ... like average people.

Mariah Carey, who got engaged Thursday night to Australian billionaire James Packer, wanted to relive Christmas in January. She posted photos of herself Saturday, posing with her 4-year-old daughter, Monroe, as the two put lights on their brand new Christmas Tree.

"To clear up any confusion....here is us putting up a NEW little tree last night #justtobefestiveinthesnowstorm #currentlywatchingthesantaclause #whynot #snowedin #yesIREALLYloveChristmas," the photo's caption read.
