Mar. 21, 2014— -- intro: Even stars get starstruck.

Just ask Emma Stone, who teared up while watching a recorded video message from Mel B, one of the Spice Girls.

"Oh my god, is Mel B talking to me?" Stone gushed during a recent interview on Australian radio's "Jules Merrick and Sophie with Mel B" show. "I'm legitimately crying. I'm the biggest Spice Girl fan ever."

Stone was in Australia with boyfriend Andrew Garfield promoting their film "The Amazing Spider-Man 2" when she stopped by the radio show.

"Mel B could've been here? I'm gonna cry!" Stone exclaimed when she learned that the former Spice Girl often joins the hosts for interviews but was away that day.

The radio hosts then surprised Stone with a video message from Mel B, who asked Stone why she liked Baby Spice and not her.

Back in 2012, the actress had confessed to Entertainment Weekly that as a girl she used to dress like the Spice Girls, wearing "bell bottoms" and "a lot of peace signs" and that she once "wanted to be Baby Spice."

As "punishment," Mel B. challenged the 25-year-old actress to sing one of the girl group's hits.

Stone isn't the first star to get starstruck. Check out what happened when these other celebrities turned into super fans.

quicklist:title: Lupita Nyong'otext: One of the joys of being the toast of Hollywood is getting to meet all the stars. Recent Oscar winner Lupita Nyong'o has hobnobbed with celebrities she once idolized, such as Oprah Winfrey, and had crushes on, such as Leonardo DiCaprio. The actress confessed to Jimmy Kimmel that she had one goal at the Golden Globes and that was to meet DiCaprio, whom she's had a crush on since 1996's "Romeo + Juliet." "I went up to him and I said, 'I'm very sorry to bother you, but I'm Lupita Nyong'o, and I've been dying to meet you,'" she told Kimmel days after the Globes. "He was very sweet. He got up and we took a picture together." media: 22987056

quicklist: title: Jennifer Lawrencetext: Jennifer Lawrence knows a lot about being a fan girl. Since winning an Oscar in 2013, she has gushed and giggled over stars like Jack Nicholson. But it was last July, when she ran into Jeff Bridges at Comic-Con that she totally lost her cool. "Extra" cameras captured Lawrence gingerly approaching Bridges before losing her nerve and running away, then returning somewhat chagrined. "Oh my God, I'm like your biggest fan, I'm so sorry," a flustered Lawrence said, giving her idol a hug. When the Hollywood veteran returned the compliment to Lawrence, saying, "I love your work," that of course prompted more gushing from Lawrence, who exclaimed, "Oh my God, that's so cool." Since then, Lawrence has gushed over "Homeland" star Damien Lewis. media: 22987721

quicklist:title: Nicole Richie text: Being dragged around by a chain while on all fours didn't seem to bother reality star Nicole Richie since it meant sharing the stage with her idol Britney Spears during the singer's Las Vegas concert last month. Spears dedicated her song "Freak Show" to Richie, a self-declared Britney fan since the age of 16, before inviting her up on stage. After the show, the singer tweeted, "Can we all give a round of applause to @NicoleRichie for playing along in the show tonight? U looked hot crawling on all fours ;)." Richie was still recovering from the moment. "Am I alive?" she tweeted.media: 22987630

quicklist: title: Selena Gomeztext: Selena Gomez doesn't only have eyes for Justin Bieber. After she let it be known that she had a crush on Shia LaBeouf, her pals set up a run-in with the actor. "Oh my gosh," Gomez blurted out when she came face-to-face with the actor backstage at a television studio in 2011. "I'm so sorry to bother you." Not bothered at all, LaBeouf replied, "Thanks for being so sweet to me. You're really sweet to me." The pair hugged and posed for pictures before parting. Back alone with her girlfriends, Gomez gushed, "He's so cute. Oh my gosh, he's so handsome." The singer was starstruck again last year when she met Bradley Cooper. She told People last July, "I don't even remember what I said –- that's how embarrassed I was. I wanted to say he was a great actor, but he blinded me with his eyes."media: 22987333

quicklist:title: Princetext: It may have seemed strange to see Prince on the episode of "New Girl" following this year's Super Bowl, but it turns out that the pop star is a big fan of the show. In fact, Prince contacted star Zooey Deschanel by email last season telling her he only watches two things on television: the news and "New Girl." The Purple One made a guest appearance as himself, coaching Deschanel's character as she works up her nerve to declare her feelings for her co-star Jake Johnson. He also gave her a makeover and an outfit from his personal closet. Close to 26 million viewers tuned in to the episode, and now fans can snap up the singer's duet with Deschanel, "FALLINLOVE2NITE," which they performed a portion of during the show.media: 22986997
