Why Disgraced Rep. Anthony Weiner Won't Watch Documentary About Him
"I know how it ends and it wasn't pretty," he said.
— -- The documentary "Weiner" -- about disgraced Rep. Anthony Weiner -- hit theaters late last month and features footage of his unsuccessful run for Mayor of New York City in 2013.
The film isn't an entirely positive portrayal of Weiner and shows his run in the election take a hit when he shared an ill-advised photo of himself. Weiner lost the election and had to address the photo and communication with a woman that wasn't his wife, Huma Abedin.
Today, Weiner spoke about the documentary and said he won't be watching.
"Never seen it, I don't have anything to say about it. ... I was there, dude," he said today on WABC radio's "The Bernie and Sid Show."
He added, telling hosts Sid Rosenberg and Bernard McGuirk, "I know how it ends, and it wasn't pretty."
After debating politics and Donald Trump versus Hilary Clinton, whom his wife works for, Weiner also said he's done running for elected office, even though he would have been a "great mayor."
"There's no way I would get elected. ... You get a shot at a comeback, I took it. My mistakes repeated. ... I had my chance," he said.
