Ed Sheeran Helps Rixton's Jake Roche Propose to Little Mix Singer

— -- Rixton singer Jake Roche is engaged -- thanks to a little help from pal Ed Sheeran.

Jake popped the question to Jesy Nelson of Little Mix on Sunday at Manchester Arena in Manchester, England, where the British girl group was scheduled to perform.

So how did Sheeran factor into the proposal? According to the BBC, he performed an acoustic version of his song "Tenerife Sea" while Roche proposed during Little Mix's soundcheck.

Roche expressed his gratitude on Twitter, writing, "Travelled 5 hours to sing our favourite song on his day off. I will never ever be able to repay you. Love you pal. @edsheeran."

Sheeran replied, "my absolute pleasure. Thanks for the KFC."

A photo of the proposal was posted on the Little Mix Instagram page. Nelson wrote, "I cannot believe what has just happened! The most surreal moment of my life and everyone that I love most was there to share it with us! I feel like the luckiest girl in the world rite now literally cannot stop crying!"

She signed the caption, "Future Mrs Roche."
