Frances Bean Cobain Files for Divorce From Isaiah Silva
The daughter of Kurt Cobain and artist filed in California.
— -- Frances Bean Cobain, the daughter of Courtney Love and the late Kurt Cobain, has filed for divorce from her husband of less than two years, Isaiah Silva, according to paperwork filed in Los Angeles Superior Court.
Silva, the lead singer for the band the Eeries, and Cobain, 23, married in June 2014 and the divorce papers, obtained by ABC News, cite irreconcilable differences.
Cobain also requested that her inheritance, among other items like "jewelry" and "personal effects," that she owned prior to the marriage, remain only in her possession. According to People magazine and other media outlets, Cobain's inheritance is worth close to $450 million.
The couple have no children.
The daughter of the late Nirvana singer was born in Los Angeles in 1992 and has worked in modeling and art in recent years. Her father Kurt died in 1994 of an apparent suicide.
