— -- The HBO mega-hit "Game of Thrones" returns for its sixth season Sunday night.

The big question for the premiere? The fate of Jon Snow, who was stabbed and left for dead by his supposed allies at the end of last season, has been sealed, according to actor Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, who plays Jaime Lannister.

"I can say that Jon Snow is dead," he told ABC News.

But does he come back?

Coster-Waldau wouldn't say, though he did note that "it's a show that has all these different worlds and I think a lot of that is converging in the new season."

Actor John Bradley, who plays Samwell Tarly, Snow's best friend, knows Snow's fate, although he said he's not thrilled to have that intel.

"It's like knowing your best friend's girlfriend is having an affair in so much as you're desperate to tell them and you really think you should but you know if you did it's more trouble than it's worth," he quipped.

The season premiere of "Game of Thrones" airs at 9 p.m. ET. Earlier this week, HBO announced it had renewed the series for a seventh season.
