— -- E! News announced Wednesday night that Giuliana Rancic would be stepping down from her anchor role on the network in August, but will still focus on specials like “Live From the Red Carpet” and “Fashion Police."

Rancic has been nothing but a trailblazer in the entertainment industry for the past 10 years -- in and out of the studio -- as one of the first reporters to ask celebs the questions that the audience really wants to know the answers to.

“For more than a decade, I was fortunate enough to play a role in the success of ‘E! News’ and will miss my family at the show,” Rancic said in a statement from E!

“At the same time, I am excited to not only continue as host of two major franchises on E! but also executive produce the aspirational new show ‘Rich in Faith’ for Oxygen as well as take my wine and clothing lines to the next level. This is such a thrilling time for me and I thank the gang at E! for understanding my desire to embark on this next chapter in my life.”

Lately, Rancic, 40, has branched out into business in a big way, following in the footsteps of husband Bill Rancic, creating her own wine line Xo, G.

"I've done a lot of cool things in the past few years, but this is probably the coolest," she told ABC News last year of the endeavor and working with StackTek to come up with an innovative single-serve wine line.

"I'm kind of a big dreamer; Bill always makes fun of me. I'm like 'Why not?' So, I reached out to the company that makes the wine and the rest is history," she added.

In addition to wine, clothes and producing, Rancic is also a published author many times over, with her memoir, "Going Off Script," coming out earlier this year as her latest book.

Entrepreneur Bill Rancic, 44, also told ABC News last year that his wife's blossoming businesses and side projects are just some of the reasons she "continues to challenge and inspire me every day."

"Looking back almost a decade, obviously, it's gotten better every year, for us and especially for me," he said of his marriage to the host.

But in the end, Giuliana's a mom first. Rancic told ABC News in April she would be relocating from the West Coast to Chicago in the summer to be with her family full-time.

"Bill and I, we've always had jobs, we've always worked," she told ABC. "We work a lot, weekends, day and night, and traveled a lot for work."

Giuliana and Bill's son, Duke, turns 3 at the end of August, just after she steps down from the day-to-day role on E! News.

"Now that he's at that age, it really is the perfect time to slow down a bit," she said. "In August, I get to make Chicago my home base, which is something Bill and I decided on a long time ago. It was a conversation I had with my bosses at E! a long time ago. That was always the understanding and I'm excited about that. That, in itself, will slow me down a bit. I just want to be more settled."

She continued, "I will never regret spending more time with my son and my husband. That's something that I crave is family. I've worked hard to get to a place so that I can walk my son to school every day and still do my work."
