Honey Boo Boo and Family Recovering From Car Crash

Jan. 7, 2014 -- The stars of "Here Comes Honey Boo Boo" had a big scare last night.

According to Mama June, the mother of Honey Boo Boo, the family was involved in a car crash.

"We were in a car accident last night. It was really scary for us, since it was the first time any of us had ever been in a wreck," she told ABC News in a statement through the TLC show's publicist. "As always we want to thank everyone for their support and well wishes."

TMZ first reported the wreck and claimed that it happened when a truck without its lights on struck the family's vehicle. The website also reported that Sugar Bear now has a contusion on his back, Mama June is suffering from back and neck sprains, Honey Boo Boo hit her head on a window and Pumpkin has chest bruises and is now experiencing panic attacks. A rep for the show confirmed these accounts to ABC News.

"We are definitely really sore today, but our top priority is to celebrate Pumpkin's birthday," Mama June added. "She turned 14 today, and no matter how sore we feel, we are going to go out and celebrate."
