Hugh Jackman Makes One Last Run as Wolverine in 'Logan'

— -- One day after the first "Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2" teaser trailer dropped, we got the first look at another Marvel Comics legend in "Logan."
The first clip for Hugh Jackman's last run as X-Men great Wolverine features an older, weathered Logan, with the movie set in the future.
You hear the voice of Patrick Stewart's Professor X, and later Logan says, "Mutants, they're gone now." In this story, the X-Men are no more.
The trailer is a somber one, unlike any other X-Men film before, with an acoustic guitar playing in the background, as Johnny Cash sings "Hurt."
Professor X appears to be near the end of his life, and Logan seems scarred and aging as well. This is also a deviation, as Wolverine's healing ability usually keeps him from aging.
What awakens a lost Logan is a little girl, who, the professor says, is "like you." The two men unite to help her.
As the trailer continues, the movie looks to be a heartfelt drama as well as a superhero movie.
"Logan" hits theaters on March 3 and also stars Boyd Holbrook as Donald Pierce, a cyborg who leads an army of mutant hunters called the Reavers, and Stephen Merchant as Caliban.
The fan reaction has been stellar to the trailer, including from none other than "Deadpool" star — and onscreen and offscreen Hugh Jackman fanboy Ryan Reynolds, who tweeted, "Inject this film directly into my face immediately."
