Inside The Rekindled Feud Between Marilyn Manson and Courtney Love
The two 90's rock icons are at it again ... kind of.
— -- So after a few quiet years, Esquire magazine figured that Marilyn Manson and Courtney Love had "buried the hatchet," but it seems like that may not be the case.
After asking, "We've got to ask how you and Courtney Love buried the hatchet?" during a Q&A with Manson that ran yesterday, the rocker passively aggressively gave Love a little dig.
"We never really had a falling out. We've always been weird with each other, because she's slept with pretty much every one of my friends, supposedly. Not me, though," he said. "She, one time, told me she was mad at me because I didn't want to f--- her and I was smarter than her. I said, 'Well, you kind of proved your own point right there on that one.' But it was cool."
The two also appeared on the final season of "Sons of Anarchy," but Manson, 46, said they didn't work on any scenes together. They did see each other at the red-carpet premiere for the FX series.
"Her dress broke, and I said, 'You okay? Your p---- didn't show, did it?' and she said, 'No,' and I went, 'Thank God! That would've been horrible!' That was the only time I f----- with her. Other than that, I'm cool with Courtney," he added.
So, it would seem it's all in good fun?
Well, Manson also tweeted a picture of the two on the carpet back in September, captioned, "This is what prison rape looks like in my nightmares."
Then, Love, 50, came back with her retort yesterday.
"Omg @marilynmanson all this time thought u're gay. Of course I'll f--- u. Im free Fri from 1:15 to 1:18 gives us plenty time 4 a smoke too x," she wrote.
Still just joking around? Well, she also retweeted the Esquire article, so it doesn't look like she's too upset.
So, what's this supposed past beef between the two?
Manson toured with Love's band Hole in the late 1990's. The tour reportedly ended early over hostility and trash talk on stage between the two band leaders.
