Kim Kardashian West Is 'Over' Her 'Feud' With Taylor Swift
She says she and Kanye West actually have no hard feelings.
— -- Kim Kardashian West hesitantly spoke again about her "feud" with pop icon Taylor Swift after the back and forth that happened this year, involving Swift, Kardashian West and her husband, Kanye West.
The reality star and businesswoman, 35, is on the cover of this week's Billboard magazine, in which she says she and her husband have no malice toward Swift, 26.
The alleged feud started with West's song "Famous" in February, then Swift's response that she didn't approve specific lyrics, followed by Kardashian West releasing recordings this summer that seemed to show Swift and West discussing the song prior to its release.
Swift responded to the recordings on Twitter, saying she didn't know she was being recorded and that West never told her that he planned to refer to her as "that b----" in the song. Her rep made it clear earlier in the year that Swift didn't like the "misogynistic message" of that word.
"Do we really have to talk about Taylor Swift?” Kardashian West asked the Billboard reporter in the interview.
"I’m so over it," she continued. “If it were up to Kanye, it all would probably never have come out. He can handle it, he has no hard feelings. He doesn’t even really care. I just wanted to protect my husband. I saw him getting a lot of s---.”
In fact, Kardashian West said of releasing the recordings, she didn't want to start any "feud," but "it was like, ‘OK, here’s the truth.’ Done. Let’s all move on."
Kardashian West went on to speak about raising two children in the public eye.
"Both times when I was pregnant I’d literally just pray, ‘I hope my baby can handle this life," she said. "I believe their souls choose us to be their parents -- that they choose this life. That’s my belief.”
This week's Billboard is on newsstands now.
