'Pan' Disappoints at the Box Office

The Peter Pan origin story, starring Hugh Jackman, Garrett Hedlund, Rooney Mara and Australian newcomer Levi Miller, opened in third place after earning an estimated total of just $15.5 million.

The budget for the film was a reported $150 million.

The No. 1 movie, for the second weekend in a row, was "The Martian." The space drama, featuring Matt Damon, pulled in $37 million.

Here are the top-10 movies from Friday through Sunday, with estimated ticket sales, according to Rentrak:
