Reese Witherspoon Launches Southern-Inspired Clothing and Lifestyle Line

Reese Witherspoon is an actress style icon just launched a clothing line.

— -- Reese Witherspoon is an Academy Award-winning actress, style icon, entrepreneur and businesswoman.

She's now bringing her many skills to her new company, Draper James, a lifestyle brand inspired by her Southern heritage and traditions.

Among the brands offerings are clothes, jewelry, accessories and home décor items.

Every piece is Witherspoon-approved.

"I've gone through so many things over and over again … there's a lot of care and love in this project," she told ABC News' Paula Faris. "And I don't get involved unless I am touching everything, and seeing it. Because it's also my family name. Draper James is my grandmother's name, and my grandfather's name put together."

The "Hot Pursuit" actress told Faris that she's been working on Draper James for three years.

"It's been so much fun. It's so creative," she said.

Witherspoon said some of her favorite pieces from the line are the handbags. On the brand's website, handbags range in price from $155 to $325.

Witherspoon also likes the stationery, which includes thank-you notes with Southern sayings printed on them.

"Ever since I was a little girl, I always wanted to have a stationery store. Always," she said. "I've been obsessed with stationery and monograms. There's something about Southern girls and monograms, we literally -- if it's not moving, we monogram it."

Seventy percent of Draper James products are manufactured in the United States, with the goal to eventually make all the line's products here.

The company will open a retail store in Nashville in the fall.
