— -- A just-released international trailer for "Rogue One: A Star Wars Story" offers a little more insight into the spin-off movie coming out later this year.
The major revelation comes early in the clip, when Felicity Jones' character, Jyn Erso, is told, "We have intercepted a coded Imperial transmission. It indicates that a major weapons test is imminent."
What follows is a line not heard in the domestic trailer that debuted last Thursday night: "The message was sent by your father."
Jyn is estranged from her father, Galen Erso, played by Mads Mikkelsen. So what does this new line mean for fans? We'll have to wait and see.
The international trailer otherwise mirrors the domestic trailer that had people buzzing last week, including the brief appearance by Darth Vader.
"Rogue One: A Star Wars Story," also starring Forest Whitaker, Diego Luna, Donnie Yen and Alan Tudyk, takes place just before the events of 1977’s "Star Wars: Episode IV -- A New Hope."
It will be released Dec. 16 by Disney, the parent company of ABC News.
