— -- Richard Dreyfuss transformed into Bernie Madoff for a new role.

In a newly-released photo, the actor is seen playing the disgraced financier in front of Lichtenstein prints.

Dreyfuss, 67, has been shooting the upcoming ABC miniseries, titled "Madoff," for several weeks. Production ends this month.

"Madoff," which is inspired by ABC News Chief Investigative Correspondent Brian Ross’ book "The Madoff Chronicles," documents the crimes of the financier behind the largest Ponzi scheme in history. In 2009, Madoff pleaded guilty to 11 federal felonies and is currently serving a 150-year sentence behind bars.

The project, which will air in 2016, co-stars Blythe Danner as Madoff's wife, Ruth, and Tom Lipinski and Danny Deferrari as the his sons Mark and Andrew, respectively. Charles Grodin, Peter Scolari and Lewis Black also appear, and Raymond De Felitta is directing.
