— -- With the help of Jimmy Kimmel's wife Molly McKneary, Rihanna and some collaborators sneaked into the sleeping late night host's bedroom on Wednesday and delivered a full-volume April Fools' Day prank.

With colored flashlights waving, Rihanna and company shattered the silence with a performance of her new single, "B***** Better Have My Money." It took more than a few moments to rouse the comedian, who, stunned, tried to talk with what appeared to be a teeth grinding mouthpiece in place.

On "Jimmy Kimmel Live!" that night, the pair aired and then discussed the gag, as well as Rihanna's affinity for on-tour pranks -- some of which included hiding raw fish in luggage and all matter of sticky material -- and which made Kimmel admit, "I feel I got off easy."

"I love playing pranks on people," Rihanna admitted. "My band: they've suffer the most ... because on the road you get a little bored, and you get into a little mischief -- especially on the last shows ..."

The recording artist also admits her star status doesn't make her prank-proof: "They either prank me, or [I] prank them, or both."

Kimmel wanted to know the inspiration for the potty-mouthed single, asking, "What happened with the b****h and why did she owe you money?"

"Pending," Rihanna said, "wait for the video."

She explained she doesn't have a date for her new album to debut, but enthused it will be out "very soon."

"I want it to be out like now. I can't wait to put it out."

The pair also took part in the Twizzler Challenge -- an Ice Bucket Challenge-like event made to raise awareness for Autism, as April is Autism Awareness Month. The challenge requires you and another nominated person to share a Twizzler Lady and the Tramp-style.

Kimmel and the singer came nose-to-nose, explaining it was OK if it went further -- so he could get back at his wife for pranking him. Kimmel also nominated J.J. Abrams and his "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" star Chewbacca to share a Twizzler, while Rihanna chose her "Home" co-star Jim Parsons, and possibly Kimmel's wife.
