March 14 -- Ricky Spotted With Latvian Model

Ricky Martin continues to live his international "Vida Loca" or at least he's holding hands with models. Newspapers in Martin's hometown of San Juan, Puerto Rico, reported that the Latin heartthrob was hanging out at a music festival in San Remo, Italy, with Latvian model Ines Misan. Pictures showed the singer and model holding hands in London. The papers reported that Martin met Misan, 34, about four months ago in New York. Martin's manager, Nanette Lamboy, told The Associated Press, "She's his friend at the moment. I can't confirm that she's his girlfriend, but they've been seeing each other."

Brits Kick Ginger Spice Off the Roads

Former Spice Girl Geri Halliwell was banned from driving today for approaching an English town at double the speed limit in her sports car. During a brief court appearance, the pop singer was handed a six-week ban and ordered to pay a $580 fine and $50 court costs. Halliwell, 28, last month pleaded guilty in writing to driving her Aston Martin at 60 mph in a 30 mph zone toward Watford last October. Wearing a long, cream-colored leather coat and high-heel shoes, the blond singer spoke quietly to confirm her name, date of birth, and address. Her lawyer said that she was "very sorry" for the offense. Since leaving her band, where she was known as Ginger Spice, Halliwell has scored three No. 1 hits in Britain.

Boss Records Studio 'Skin'

E Street Band guitarist Steven Van Zandt told the Newark Star Ledger that the group recently entered a studio with Bruce Springsteen to record a studio version of the controversial "American Skin," and to work with several other songs. "We haven't formally started anything or decided anything. But I'm certainly hoping that some time this year we'll get in [the studio] and do a record," Van Zandt said. A live version of "American Skin," whose lyrics deal with the police shooting of unarmed immigrant Amadou Diallo, will be released next month on Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band: Live in New York City.
