Kathy Griffin's Wacky Wedding
February 23 -- Taking her quirky image one step further, comedian-actress Kathy Griffin chose the '80s power ballad "Sister Christian" — which is about a virginal young woman who's due to lose her, uh, blossom — as the backdrop for her Feb. 18 wedding to computer administrator Matthew Moline.
As the strains of Night Ranger trumpeted the redheaded bride's walk down the aisle, Griffin's Hollywood pals were there to witness the 37-year-old TV star's nuptials. According to People magazine, Brooke Shields, who co-starred with Griffin on the now-defunct sitcom Suddenly Susan, was the maid of honor, while Jane Krakowski, Camryn Manheim, and Bill Maher were in the audience.
The ceremony took place in a Hollywood restaurant, People notes. The bride wore a knee-length gown from Richard Tyler and changed into a Kenneth Cole ensemble for the couple's reception.
Griffin, who now appears on the MTV show Kathy's So-Called Reality, met her 32-year-old husband nearly two years ago, after his sister introduced them.
