Dave Matthews Band Announces Everyday Tour
February 9 -- Fans will have almost two months to familiarize themselves with the songs on the Dave Matthews Band's new album, Everyday, which is due Feb. 27. Then they can catch the jam-rockers in concert to hear the same songs extended and embellished.
The Dave Matthews Band will begin its tour of arenas and stadiums on April 21 in its hometown, Charlottesville, Va. The opening performance will benefit the Bama Works Foundation, the band's own charitable organization. Tickets for the first show go on sale March 3, while the remaining tickets will be available on March 10.
The 24 shows, which run through July 15, will cover much of the United States; the prolific touring act plans to announce even more dates in March.
Everyday is the band's fourth album and its first with producer Glen Ballard. The quintet has not yet performed any of its new songs live in North America, though the album's first single, "I Did It," is getting heavy radio play. The band will perform Feb. 24 on NBC's Saturday Night Live and Feb. 26 on CBS's Late Show With David Letterman.
