January 22 -- Rapper Jamal "Shyne" Barrow, already on trial for attempted murder, was arrested Sunday night in New York following an accident involving his Mercedes-Benz and a jeep that resulted in two injuries.

Jury selection in his trial which is concurrent with the trials of Sean "Puff Daddy" Combs and bodyguard Anthony "Wolf" Jones was pushed back until Tuesday to allow Barrow to be arraigned on his latest charge, driving without a license though additional charges may be forthcoming.

Prosecutors told MTV that Barrow ran a red light, causing the two injuries though his lawyer disputed this claim, saying the accident was not his fault.

This morning, Combs' lawyer asked Judge Charles Solomon that his client's case be tried separately from Barrow's, but the judge denied the request, according to MTV.

Combs' weapons and bribery charges, Jones' weapons charges, and Barrow's attempted murder and assault charges all stem from a December 1999 shooting at Club New York in Times Square, in which two people were injured.

Opening arguments for the trial are scheduled to begin Friday.
